Performance presented with IPG "Raumkonzepte" in MARTa Herford, 6.11.2004

The Performance " A matter of course " refers to the work " No Pork but Pig " in 2004. Because the work "No Pork but Pig" could not be realized in Herford because of political reasons, a protocol on the subject is presented instead as an abstract form of substitution. The artist (Nezaket Ekici) reads out the protocol during 4 hours letter by letter following the German alphabetization system (e.g., the word "pig" = Schule-Cesar-Heinrich-Wilhelm-Emil-Ida-Nordpol). The manner in which the artist stresses the letters suggests the content of the protocol, accompanied by appropriate mime and Gestik as well as Islamic clothes.
