Performance, Munich, Spring 2001 in cooperation with Philip Metz

In everyday life of the so called "information age" often meets us as a bare sign and symbol, as naked information or partial information. In the society a discussion about the body itself takes place in many ways, which come out of a cross-reference of organic and mechanical discussions. Our mechanized world calls a tribute: we mechanized the world this mechanization also reacts back on us, without that we would be able to prevent this. The project is on the one hand of a space installation and a Performance. Two persons are moving in the space. The noises which appear are changed by a synthesizer and transmitted by highfy. A concert of organic noises (palpitation, respiration etc) as well as mechanical noises (Smack, scratching etc) can be heard. The spectator is in a darkened area. He perceives only the noises which come from the loudspeakers. After some time, the space is lighted up slowly as a strange music emerges not as a abstract instrumental orchestra, but as a result of strange movements. The body is used as an instrument. It serves as a metaphor for a machine which changes a pure impulse. The person is reinterpreted symbolically to pure information which alienates by the technology which causes this.
