Nezaket Ekici collected many different bank notes from varies countries on her artistic trips. Therefore the costume she wears shows 500 bank notes from 15 countries.

She strips off every single banknote from the dress, second by second, following the unbending sound of a metronome.

This performance points out the distanceless between time and money. By narrowing down the world to these two categories, the artist shows what happens to us as human beings, psychologically consumed by focussing time and money. It would be to shallow to assume, that this performance tries to only cast a critical glance at capitalism. More than that, Nezaket Ekici wants to point out, that modern times demand us to understand the rules of the game in order not to fear to lose ourselves in self-made monolith worlds.

The only way out: be fast enough and always stay ahead of time.
