"Remembrance Childhood"

Performance presented with IPG ”Gifted Generation” Hebbel am Ufer, Hebbel theater Haus Eins , Berlin 21-22.5.2005

Concept

At the front, the wardrobe of the Hebbel Theater becomes a curtain, consisting of 2500 white ribbons. The wardrobe will be lit up with neon emitters. Only the silhouette of the artist can be seen in the begining. Over the duration of 6 hours the artist will twist the ribbons togehter. The more she twiss the ribbons, the more she becommes visible. While she twists the ribbons, a classik music sounds: of Debussie (Childrens Corner). A Vantilator moves the curtain and gives to the whole Installation and Performance a atmosphere.

She works with the Situation of the wardrobe and the wardrobeladdys. The performance thereby makes visible a range of the theatre, which remains unseen otherwise. The performance fills an area, which is simultaneoosly unused time. Music will support the temporal aspect of the performance.
